Here are some of the Anzac learning we have been involved in this week.

On Friday we got to make Anzac biscuits. 

Mrs M. sourced a 'simple' Anzac recipe and we went to work.

OH THE PLACES YOU'LL GO

During 'Balloons over Waikato', we read the text 'Oh the Places You'll Go'.

From that we were motivated to write about places that we would like to go when we are older. 

We wrote about:

• the country we would like to visit, 
• the school we will be going to in Yr 9,
• what we will be doing at the age of 18,
• the job we would like to have when we are older.

Then we created an art piece around our writing.

ALPHABET APRIL FOOLS

On the 1st April, the student council arranged an 'Alphabet Dress-Up' day for our school, which just happened to coincide with April Fools Day.

The students were asked to come dressed in the first letter of their last name. 

What an AMAZING turn out of costumes and creativity.

We had children dressed as aliens right through to vampires, with some Lego characters in between.
