SOCCER

Soccer is a brilliant winter sport which enables the students to show their foot skills in a controlled environment.

Erin from Project Energize came in and took some 'soccer skill' sessions with Room 9.

Here we are playing flag tag and learning to control the ball with our feet in a variety of situations.

MATH DAY IN ROOM 8

As part of our programme this term we had a day solely dedicated to 'Math'.

Room 8 & 9 were split into two groups.

The focus in Room 8 was to create 'Enlargements' of a selection of characters from movies, books and cartoons to name a few.

Here are the 'enlargements' made by the students in Room 9.

MATH DAY iin ROOM 9

As part of our programme this term we had a day solely dedicated to 'Math'.

Room 8 & 9 were split into two groups enabling the students to mix with learners they don't usually work with.
A combination of learners entered Room 9 throughout the day.

The focus in Room 9 was to create 'Minecraft Skins' using 1cm squares.
Children this age seem to be obsessed with Minecraft so we created some 'selfies' or 'skins' of ourselves as we would look as Minecraft characters.

We planned on A6 paper with small squares first. Then we enlarged these images onto A3 paper.

The biggest challenge for some was using a ruler to rule straight lines, yet others mastered the halving of squares to create their desired results.
