I WISH I WAS...

On Friday we took part in the "I Wish I Was" Day.
This is a day where we all got dressed up as a book character, a movie character or as a person that we wished we could be right now.
Our contribution for this day was very important as it was our way to support the 'Make a Wish' foundation which grants special wishes to sick children here in New Zealand.

For more information please follow this link below to see how you could contribute Make a Wish Foundation NZ

Here are some snapshots of how we took part in this event.

Us as a class...

Here are some of the rest of the school, teachers included.

We raised over $200 for this worthy foundation.

Congratulations to all the students in our school. We are glad we could contribute to this NZ charity of children helping children.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

On Wednesday we had our annual 'Grandparents Day' which coincided with 'Bookweek'

Our grandparents were invited to spend the morning with their moko (grandchildren) in their classrooms. Then they were invited to join the staff for morning tea. This was followed by a dance fest, where each class displayed a little music and dance number.

Here is the dance we learned for our grandparents-Barry White's "You're the first, my last, my everything."

Here are some snapshots of us with our nanny's, poppa's, grandma's, grandpa's, koro and kuia.

A huge thank you from us all in Room 9 to our grandparents who braved the weather to come and spend the morning with us. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
