THE OCEAN FLOOR

We have been learning about the Ocean and everything in it.
We recreated the ocean floor and labelled the parts you would expect to see there.

E PAPA WAIARI

As a follow on from Music Day, Room 9 wanted to learn the Maori waiata; 'E papa Waiari'.
So for the past week they have been using 'ti rakau' (short sticks) to learn the actions to the song, which is very traditional in New Zealand Maori culture.

Here is a clip of one group practising their action song.

Have a look at some pictures that the children have come up with on their own.
Enjoy.

Please don't forget to leave a comment about what you enjoyed seeing.

MUSIC DAY

On Friday 20th March, Koromatua celebrated everything musical. From traditional folk dance through to modern dance and hip hop, the kids jumped and jived their way through the tulips for a taste of anything and everything with sound.

Here are a selection of images from some groups...

RUN, BIKE & SWIM

It's triathlon time again at Koromatua and we are going to give it our all.
We have to bike, run and swim to complete this years event.
Some of us chose to go individually and others chose to be part of a team.

Question: What would you choose to do (individual or team) if you could take part in our school triathlon?

Here's a few pics from the day.
