GEOMETRY through POKEMON

Over the past three weeks we have been involved in the world of Geometry for Maths.
Some of us have been hooked on the latest craze of 'Pokemon' that has entrapped us to our phones.
We used some of these images as stimulation for our maths creations.
Special mention to Pokemon imagesPokemon namePokemon characters for providing the motivation to enlarge these characters.
Our artworks linked to Level 3 in the NZ curriculum.

  • Describe the transformations (reflection, rotation, translation, or enlargement) that have mapped one object onto another.
Here are some examples of our works for enlargement.
We identified our favourite Pokemon characters and enlarged them using a 1cm scale which was quadrupled not once but twice by some of us.

Take a look at our works.
