Here are some of the gifts we made for the special Men in our lives.
Same blog, new environment... Term 1 is here and we have hit the ground running as we get to know each other, learn to become confident digital citizens and explore the environment around us. Please continue to share in our learning journey by commenting on our blog. We will try our best to reply to your posts. Keep calm and Minion on!

ReplyDeleteHello Minions!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mr Martyn Howie and I am the principal of the Lumwana International School in Zambia. My VERY, VERY OLD friend Mrs Mitchell has told me all about your wonderful class and we both think it might be fun if your class and our class can talk online.
I'll tell you a little bit about our school. We are very small and only have 50 students. Three teachers, three teaching assistants, three cleaners and one gardener. My class only has 10 students, from year 3 to year 5! Thats right, only 10 kids and they come from 4 different countries. Our country (Zambia) and our school is very different from NZ - do you get snakes at your school? We have termites building mounds in our school - Do you? Also we haven't had rain for 6 months? We have over 30 schools near us. They have no electricity and 60 kids in a class!
Its probably different from your school. Maybe you can send us pictures and introduce your selves and I will do the same with my class.
I've sent a picture of my class to your teacher as I can't post it here. Our names are Charlie, Tristan, Sonja, Lillian, Bwalya, Sam, Neo, Gilbert, Grace and Temwani. Can you guess who is who? Send us a picture of your class and we will try and guess your names!
Looking forward to hearing from you next week with all your questions.
This is goodbye in two of our local languages.
